Zoosk.com Fraudulent credit card charges, fake profiles - they should be investigated, Internet
I closed my account within hours after opening it when I saw that Zoosk doesn't care about fake profiles. I was under the impression that they pay ladies in the Philippines to post their profile and to make it look like they live in the United States "just around the corner". Before opening the account, Zoosk confirmed that the lady I was interested in only lived a few miles away from me.
After making my payment, this lady mentioned "by the way - I live in the Philippines...". I reported this fake profile to Zoosk but I still saw this profile several months later without any changes on Zoosk.com This was the first contact i made and the only contact I made through Zoosk (!)
About half a year after closing my account and disputing the charges with my credit card company Zoosk charged my CC again without even informing me. (they had my CC number and also my email address on file...) I received a fraud warning from my bank and told them that this was an unauthorized charge. they closed the account, causing many additional problem with other merchants / subscriptions.
I don't think that this was some kind of "computer mistake" because their computer would have sent out an email notification informing me of the charges on my CC. I believe that someone manually charged my card, hoping that I would not catch it after such a long time.
