My step-daughter had to use a pay phone to call me so I could go pick her up. The pay phone she used wouldn't allow 1-800 numbers to be called on it, so she had no choice, but to use what she did.

She called 5 times. Four out of five of the times, she couldn't get through, because I was on the internet at the time. The fifth time she got through and we only talked for 6 minutes.

ZPDI and Opticom charged me $21.18 for the 6 minute call that got through and they tried to charge me $55.96 for the other four that didn't get through.

Custom Teleconnect (with ZPDI) took the charges off for the four phone calls that didn't go through. Opticom, however, would not reduce the $21.18 for the 6 minute call that did get through.

My Verizon bill for a 15 minute call is $3.90; what makes Opticom think it can get away with overpricing?
