Zurich NA ripoff liars theives and cheats deceptive company JAMAICA New York
Those in search of a good secure occupational health policy..look elsewere! Zurich NA is the wrong place to use. I obtained Zurich not by choice but through a trucking organization I was paying dues to. I purchased truck liability and occupational health through them. I paid my premiums and felt secure that if I needed the insurance it would be there for me to use. WAS I MISTAKEN!
I was injured 1400 miles away from home and was told by the ER doctor I needed to return home and get a doctor. I phoned in my claim and spoke with a person by the name of Beth Ann Goldberg. She seemed nice and I felt like I would get the proper medical care and be back to work in no time at all....thats when the trouble started.
I was given no help in locating a doctor when I got home. When I finally did I had been 3 weeks or so without medical care, because she would not authorize a doctor visit. I was given the run around and so was the doctor.
After I was given the gift of a doctor visit I was told I would be off of work for a few weeks, the doctor needed to run some tests to be sure of my prognosis. Everything seemed OK.
I was sent to a second doctor for a procedure on my back. That doctor more or less tried to get me to scam the insurance company with him, I went off on him and told him I would turn him in, and I did. The thanks I got? Beth Ann Goldberg kicked me off of my benefits, causing me to get 2 months behind on my house payment, car payment, land payment..we all see the picture, it was a bad one. When my doctors office called her to try and work this out she told them that "women shouldn't drive a truck anyway and I wasn't hurt I was just to fat and lazy to work". I didn't say or do anything, she out of the kindness of her heart let me have my benefits back. Wasn't that big of her. May I interject here that all along she was telling 1 lie upon another, as a matter of fact she had told so many she couldn't remember all she had told.
While all of that was going on she informed me one day when I called and asked to speak to her supervisor that "she didn't have one" yet another lie. The next lie she tells I hope she chokes and dies on.
Everything went OK for a couple of months then when I told the nurse case manager that she had following me around that she was not welcome at my house Beth Ann Goldberg sent me to see Dr. Larry Likeover who looked at me for less than 30 seconds (I took a camcorder and filmed the entire visit, see the rip-off report on Likeover) he reinsured my back, and what do ya know? When it came time to get my check I got a letter telling me that Likeover and MY doctor said I could go back to work. BUT the problem was my doctor had not said that. Yet another lie.
I called her and she hung up on me. I called my doctor he was mad because they were putting words in his mouth.
Fast forward 3 months. I have been fighting with these liars trying to get my benefits started again. In the mean time their games has caused me to loose my new home, I had my furniture in storage, I lost it too. The car has been repossessed and the horses sold so I could try to live. If I could work do you think I would have been sitting around loosing all I have worked all my life for?
Well good old Zurich is still telling the lies. First they said if my doctor wrote them a letter telling them that I was not put off of work they would put me back on he did, they lied.
Then they told the organization that they never said I couldn't go get a neutral opinion, yet another lie.
Next on the long list of lies? They changed the story all together and now they claim they have sent away for my doctor records so they can look them over (they already have them) another lie.
These people are liars to the letter. But they are bad liars. They lie about stuff that even morons such as themselves can check up on.
I wasn't sure what to do next. My husband has wanted me to get an attorney for 2 months, I thought maybe they would have a twinge of honesty and I wouldn't have to. Today he took me to the State Insurance Commission. The interviewer took about 5 hours looking over my medical records, looking over the policy, listening to the phone conversations between Goldberg and myself, had a guy go hook up a VCR and sent someone out to buy the correct tape adapter. When it was all over with he set me up an appointment with the states Attorney Generals office.
He told me first and foremost, they did not uphold their end of the policy. I did as I was supposed to, they didn't. Secondly, he called an attorney in the room and gave him the short version, but showed him the tape and let him hear Beth's remarks about women driving a truck. The attorney told me it was a clear cut case of discrimination, and I should seek council in civil rights. He told me that I could sue Goldberg for what she had said. They also told me that I needed to make my voice heard and make a public circus out of what Zurich and Beth Ann Goldberg had done. I will wait to talk to the Attorney Generals office before I make that decision.
I will tell you this much, don't deal with them. They are liars. They all think they have the right to make or break your health.
The next lie they tell to anyone about anything, may it be the one that chokes them.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business?
