I just purchased two new La-Z-Boy loveseats. Soon after the first one arrived I developed a headache. The 2nd Loveseat had to be ordered and came after a few weeks. The odor is quite apparent. I have placed the cushions out doors numerous times to air them out. I have opened all my windows and doors to air out my home, in spite of snow on the ground. I placed a fan and air filter next to the sofa. My nose, Throat, and sinuses are all irritated. My eyes and skin are itching. I have had a headache for approximately six weeks, just after the arrival of the first sofa. I went away from my home for a few days. None of these has alleviated the odor still emanating from the sofa. My nose, throat, and sinus are all irritated. My eyes and skin are itching. None of these has alleviated the odor still emanating from the sofa, And my health continues to be impaired. I want these items removed and all of my money refunded. Research indicates that La-Z-Boy purchases fabric from Asia that is treated with a mold retardant chemical that is considered highly toxic, and is banned in Europe. Dimethyl fumarate or DMF, is the chemical that I have read Is implicated. Hopefully the furniture store I Purchased these from will give me a full refund as well as pick up the items. If not, I may be filing a complaint against them as well.
