This is a link to Ashley's history in Alabama. Instead of doing jail time ( she was facing up to 20 years) she only had to do 3 years of probation, and pay back restitution. Which is very messed up because she stole checks from elderly people who had no choice but to live in this retirement home. And I can promise you that they will

most likely never get a penny of that money that was stolen from them back. So, Ashley got married a year after all of this to Christopher Barnett and took over Five Flags Dance Academy in Pensacola, FL. This is when a whole new scamming game began. Ashley advertises Five Flags as being the "Best of the Bay" but it is far from

that. She recruits vulnerable children in to take dance classes or join the after school care program by giving their parent's what seems like a good deal price wise. But the parents are not told up front what they are in for. Costume fees, cost for tickets to the recitals, clothing items/ shoes the children may need for dance class.

Ashley will practically take in any kid off the street as long as they have clothes on. Especially in the after school care program. Once her students get around the age of 12-16, she will begin to coerce them into working for her. She promises good pay and to buy food and all kinds of extra stuff. And of course, if the parent's have been

paying her for so long to teach their kids dance, they think why couldn't I trust her enough for my child to work here? But this is a VERY bad decision. As soon as the kids get to where they can drive (age 16) she will begin to ask them if they can run errands for her constantly. ( these errands include picking up / dropping off children,

picking up food, taking checks to the bank to deposit, etc.) The after school care program is practically run by teenagers. Ashley is too busy teaching her overcrowded preschool classes to watch the kids. So they simply sit in the hallways and watch tv and go absolutely crazy as the 12 year old girl who hasn't worked with very many

kids tries to handle the situation. Working in the after school program includes picking the kids up from school (which she says that she has a car insurance policy for ) but if a 16 year old was to go pick up kids from school and get in a car accident for Ashley who would be held liable if the child was injured or killed? She is constantly

putting vulnerable teenagers AND children in stressful situations that never needed to happen. Not to include, she pays you how much she FEELS like paying you. Not how much you actually earned. Some children are even working for FREE. Tell me how legal that is? I'm sure that has to be breaking some child labor laws.
