I bought a linksys ac1900 from sams club, jan 2015. The item became defective one month ago. I contacted Squaretrade. They emailed me a label, I sent the item. They bought a refurbished item from amazon and shipped it to me. The item that I received is defective, I called linksys and spent two hours with their tech support, they stated that there is a hardware problem and cannot be repaired. I called squaretrade , this time they refused to email me the label, they said they have to send it by mail , they will also send a box to return the router back to them. I told them that I do not want refurbished item, I requested either a refund or a non refurbished item. The customer service personnel were very helpful, although I have problem with the company policy for sending defective refurbished items instead of replacing the item with a non refurbushed one or giving you back your money. I will never buy their insurance again
