On February 5, 2014, at 11:00 am, one of the worst winter storms hit Illinois.  My two adult sons were traveling on a county road, when the storm hit.  They skidded off the road into a snow bank.  Occupants of the vehicle included my daughter in law and my three month old and three year old grand daughters.  I contacted 1-800-IM STUCK for a towing vehicle to get them out.  They were extremely pleasant to deal with.......UNITL.....the credit card payment went through.  The tow vehicle came to the vehicle after five hours, took one look, didn't even get out of the vehicle and left.  (I was told later that the tow vehicle got stuck down the road).  The wind chill factor was -47 degrees at the time.  I tried numerous times after that to contact them, each time getting messages such as "NO MONEY----NO SERVICE AS VOICE RECORDINGS----The only problem is that they had already been paid.   In their defense, they may not could have gotten the van out of the ditch, but they sure as hell could have gotten the family out and taken them to a local motel.

Around 6:30 pm that evening, after contacting county commissioners, state police, and other emergency responders, the county commissioner of Fayette County, Illinois contacted a local farmer in the area who took his personal tractor/grader to the site and retrieved my children/grand children and took them to his home, where he fed them and gave them lodging for the night.  I am truly grateful for this farmer and his family.

However, we still cannot contact this SCUM, because they apparently have some of our phones blocked and when we finally get through to get a refund on our money refunded, they tell us to call back to a person, we later find out doesn't exist.  So.......please do not send your money to or rely on these bottom feeders.

First of all unless you have a Crystal Ball I am going to figure you meant January 5th.

Your sons not only thought it was a great idea to drive in one of the worst winter storms in history, even though many State governments(not sure if IL was included) actually banned civilians to be on the road unless it was an immenent emergency or they were going to seek shelter.  And somehow I don't think this applies to your family.  But when they got stuck, they didn't call the authorities, they didn't even call a tow company on their own...they called you who apparently was in another state.

Okay so you of course called the authorities because of the immediate danger your family is in. Oh wait you didn't you called a tow company that may have dozens if not hundreds of other calls to handle.   So you continue to try to contact them when they didn't show up.   You now can't get a hold of them, so do you call the authorities now?  No..apparently you have no problem letting your family freeze and your family is too stupid to take control of the situation and call people on their own.

Then it is now around 4PM and dark(or at least dusk) and the tow truck shows up, turns around and leaves.  Here is a thought...perhaps it was too dark to see 3 people in the car and the driver didn't know there were people still in it.

So after this happened at least you get somewhat of a brain and contact the authorities and amazingly within about 90 minutes they are "freed" from their death trap.
