Complaint Review: 1 Nation Restoration - Belle Mead New Jersey

I will not implicate anyone, but certain companies resembling this one with a similar name have been under investigation with the BBB for a few years now in OHIO. It's worth the search because they are strikingly similar in name, advertising schemes, and buisiness practices. very interesting.

I was scammed yesterday by this company!! How UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Yes the same coupon for the air cleaning!!! What a joke I am still in shock!!! Two young kids very unprofessional asking about pictures on the walls about my daughter!! Ladies DO NOT stay alone with these pervs!!! I WILL NOT PAY!!!! They claimed to have "Blower Fan"Housing, cleaning and inspection what a joke these kids are lucky to have a license to drive!!! The deal was supposed to be $49.95 came to $479.00 and there is still dust hanging from my vents!!! It took about 15 minutes to clean 12 vents and do all!!!! I am in a total state of shock still!!! 1 Nation Restoration IS A BIG BIG SCAM STAY AWAY!!!! I will go to Court if need be and I am contacting the BBB!!!! I live in Middletown NJ!!

These Mother F**kers, lied to the Better Business Bureau and told them they came back to my house to fix the problem and speak with me. That never happened. I haven't continued to pursue this because life sometimes just gets in the way. But receiving your email has reinvigorated me. I hate to see good hard working people get taken advantage of from some fly by night bogus operation that plays on their potential consumers fears. Please contact me. I recently fell for the same coupon crap and now I'm kicking myself in the a** for it because I got ripped off 700 bucks, it could have been $880!!!!!!!!!! These guys show up in a crappy mini van with Florida license plates. They gave us this hard sell about mold and mite protection disinfectant blah blah blah, then came up with an $880 estimate that I fell for it, like a moron. Equipment, hah, they bring in a leaf blower, a spray bottle, a shop vac, fill one compartment with water and have long hoses, no brushes, no gloves, no masks and a pump full of the pink cleaner/disenfectant that they claim to mix together. They sawed out 4 holes in my main duct in the basement. As they were supposedly cleaning our system my girlfriend Googles the company name 1 Nation Restoration and finds this website. They used shiny silver tape to close the holes up and as I'm watching this, I start laughing at myself for being an idiot and tell them that what they're doing is a hack job. The "techs" reply was that they can come back and fix it. What a joke?! When they finished, we showed them the rip off.com printouts. We stated that we were not satisfied that this was a professional job totaling $880, referred to the flyer once again, and they blamed their "new receptionist" about price quotes and omissions. He said it was not his call, so he called his manager "Mike" at One Nation Restoration with no address and we both asked to speak to him during 2 separate phone calls. He backed down to a check made out to cash for $700 and then to all cash payment of $700 dollars. No way, we pay our taxes, there's no paying under the table here!!! I had no choice but to pay them by credit card. I followed up by calling the company early next morning as the patch up job was a bullsh*t way to fix, very unprofessional and the ducts were still dirty when I ran a rag in one of them. He said ok, then I laid into him a bit. I should've held back but I got ripped off, I'm only human. and tell me, who clean ducts without removing the registers!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?!?! So, I basically told him to shove his sh*tty business up his a** and that he takes advantage of people with the high price rip off estimates, so that when the customer questions the price, he brings the price down thinking he's given the customer a break. This is his "business" practice. Red flags were popping up all over, when we questioned the procedure, when we saw their equipment and when we followed them in each room like hawks. The sanitizer and cleaner were mixed into one pump dispenser!!! The customer is never right with this company and my girlfriend was incensed that even with a printout from Rip Off.com website, even "manager" Mike would not give us the 625 dollar match that we showed him from Rob in Fairlawn. Customer service and accommodations, never mind false advertising on the flyer is a reason to report these "blow and go" vent cleaners. He came down alright, to offer us to pay by personal check made out to cash, to pay all cash but only went down to 700 dollars. Tax, we'll pay tax and so will he !!! He was out of his mind asking us to pay under the table. The "tech" claimed the company was out of Whitehouse Station but according to these online letters, are are from Hillsborough ?? as no address appears on the receipt!!! When following-up with Mike the next morning about this, his response was that he did not want customers hassling him at the "office". The "tech" also barked back at me that I should have cleaned it myself as the sharp edges of the motor would have cut him. I will not get any of the money back, but want to warn others that the flyers appear weekly and as we are hard-working Americans and were aware of scams, this one totally blind-sided us. Mike said they were in good standing with the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Consumer Affairs, they are being investigated, have no website or office address. Would you believe he thought I was calling him a liar when I doubted this? Was I supposed to take anything this businessman took as truth? We could have stopped them at any point and shown them the door but instead of blaming ourselves, this will only hurt my wallet. The reason I'm on here writing this is to warn future callers to 1-866-444-3931 as I stand alongside the 3 other posts here, let's get this "company" out of our state.
