Do not do business with this shop! Scam... They take your money then leave you on your own.

They told me they could rebuild my transmission for $1597 if no hard parts were needed. If hard parts were needed they would notify me of what repair was needed to see what we wanted to do at that time. Well about 2 weeks after they took my car I received a call from the shop they sent it to, claiming my car was done, they were just awaiting payment from Nationwide/24hr Transmission, etc...

I called (Nationwide, 24hr Transmission, etc) who put me on hold and told me Rich had to call me back. Later that day my wife received a call from Rich who told her it needed a hard part so the rebuild was going to cost us $3100. She then handed the phone to me. I told Rich if it was $3100 I was not interested in fixing it, and wanted the car back as I would fix it myself. Rich told me he had to call the shop he had sent it to and would call back. Well he called back and said they already fixed it without approval so I had to pay him $3100 or he file it as a customer cancellation claim and charge me $895. And with that I would have to figure out what to do to get my car back!

I called the shop who had my car. They told me the repair was $2100 and they needed payment before I could get my car. I told them that all I had agreed to was to have a basic transmission rebuild, NOTHING ELSE! They told me Nationwide had told them to replace the hard parts. I again told them with my contract with Nationwide I only agreed to have a basic transmission rebuild (soft parts only) for $1597.. The shop couldn't believe that they would have told me $1597 because they quoted Nationwide $1700 for the basic Transmission rebuild, before hard parts. (So they knew they would be marking up the cost before the work was even started)

So I called back Rich. He told me I was on my own, and I was the one who was screwed in the end on this. I told him I was under contract with him and that he was the one who had to get me my car back.

Rich told me he considered my contract cancelled and I had to figure out how to get my car back from the shop that he sent the car to.

When I call the shop back they told me I had to talk to there attorney at that point.

So I called there attorney.

After fighting with him for over an hour, he stated that they would be willing to work out a deal.. If Nationwide would just pay $1500 they would consider this whole job a wash.... But they had been trying to reach Nationwide for days and Rich never got back with them.

So I called Rich again and stated the shop who did the work was willing to drop the charges down to $1500 if he would just pay them it would all be over. He told me to have there lawyer call him.

So I called back the attorney and told him Rich was waiting for his call.

The attorney called right back and said he spoke with Rich who sounded drunk! Rich told the attorney he wasn't going to pay a dime to the shop, and they could just try to sue him over the funds.

So this is where it stands now... Nationwide, 24hr Transmission, Coast to Coast, Transmission-1 what ever they want to be called,

picked up my car to be serviced and charged me $1597.

They took my car and now that I am not interested in having it fixed for Double what they quoted me! They are telling me they are cancelling out of the contract and I will have to figure out just how to get my car back from the shop.

I am having to pay for the work done to my car twice.. Once for 24hr Transmission who SCAMMED ME! and again to the shop who fixed the car, because in law 24hr transmission was an agent, and what ever the agent tells the shop, is just held the same as if I were to ask for the work myself!

I am looking for others who have been scammed by this company.. I see there are many of you out there...

I spoke with a lawyer who is willing to do a joint action law suit against these guys. He will not charge us if enough of us file together against him.

Get ahold of me.. Let's not let him get away with this any longer.

We can take his house, and possessions.
