360 Active John Wheeler John Wheeler rips everyone off - he does not pay anyone, whether it's refunds to customers, or employees pay cheques London Ontario
I worked at 360 Active for only a few weeks, and in that time I had to deal with so many people's complaints about not being refunded their money from when they signed up before the gym even opened. The customers were promised their money from 5-6 months ago, and still had not gotten it. I thought it was a simple matter of bad communication between Marta, the one running the London location, and John, the owner, but I soon found out that was not the case. Customers had gotten emails from John and Maryam, the ones who dealt with refunds, promising them their refund cheques were in the mail long time ago. I had many customers tell me they were also still being charged the monthly fee out of their account, months after they had cancelled. Along with customers coming to tell me they hadn't been refunded, I also had businesses, such as the London Locksmith and the Steamers coming in and telling me there were invoices from October that still had yet to be paid. As well, I was then getting calls from past employees asking about their pay cheques, and then I talked to current instructors, who had not been paid in months as well. As employees, we were promised payment on the 9th and 23rd of the month, which was clearly a lie. There are now at least 4 or 5 of us former employees still awaiting over $1000 cheques each. Every time me and my coworker would bring up customer complaints and concerns to anyone in management, they all just brushed it off. Customer issues are not something to be taken lightly, they are a serious matter. On my last day as an employee at 360 Active, I told John my worries about not being paid and he just brushed it off, once again, telling me to sell memberships and I'll get paid. These issues have gone on far too long, especially the fact that John Wheeler did the same thing when he ran Fitness One. Something has to be done immediately.
