Company quoted an initial price that was not honored. Our items were delivered late and broken. They are not cooperating with resolving our claim.I scheduled a pick-up and delivery with 50 States Movers. My initial point of contact was Scott at ext. 120. He claimed that he was located in Atlanta, GA. I arranged for my pick-up date to be July, 25th, 2013 from Lawrenceville, GA to Austin, TX. My job was no. J6092065. Scott quoted me a price of $994.32. On July 25th, the movers arrived. They then quoted me $2100. Because my back was against the wall, and I was pressed for time, I had no choice but to agree to the new price. We paid half of the cost cash. The movers packed a few boxes, taped and secured a couple of items that could not fit in the boxes. Such as; standing plants, mirrors, bed frames/ foot boards etc. The movers asked for a delivery date. I arranged for my items to be delivered to Austin on Aug 2nd, 2013. I flew to Austin two days prior to be sure that I would be available upon delivery. The items were not delived on the anticipated date. My husband and I contacted the company, left messages and spoke with 'David.' David proclaimed to be the manager of the company. He was very rude and obnoxious. He was unapolegetic for the inconvenience, and stated that they were bombarded with shipment orders. We were then promised that the items would arrive on August 9th. We were not given a specific time, so, we waited all day for the delivery. Of course, no delivery or calls. The following day, we called and was told that the driver was running late and he will arrive on Sunday, Aug 11th. Again, no delivery. Our items finally arrived on Tuesday, Aug 13th. We paid the other half of the delivery cost. While the delivery men unloaded the items, I came across several broken items. They simply stated that I just need to contact 50 States Movers, and make a claim. I contacted the company immediately. I spoke with Ashley, who provided me with the steps on how to submit a claim. My next contact with this company would be concerning the claim. I spoke with Ashley again and was directed to contact their claims department for all follow-ups. the name of the agency is MyMoveClaim. Their phone number is (817) 476-5983. The first phone call made to the agency was on 8/23/13. I apoke with Diana. She confirmed that they received all of the necessary paperwork. She explained that they are a bit behind. She asked that I call back in a few days. I called several times and was told that my claim had not been entered as yet. My claim was finally entered on 9/17/13. Again, I spoke with Diana. She stated that they have requested an 'Inventory List' from 50 States Movers, however, they were unsuccessful. I called back on 9/30/13 and spoke with Diana again. She stated that they have sent two notices requesting the inventory list from 50 states and they are not responding. I then decided to take matters into my own hand and contact 50 states. I've been calling this agency every day!!! I leave messages. No return calls. finally on 10/2/13, I was able to speak with Adam. I explained my dilemma. He placed me on hold for 25 minutes, then the line became disconnected. I called back 5 times, no answer. He finally answered on my 6th try and stated that he will call me back in the morning. This is the worst company that I've ever dealt with. I found several people on social networks who have dealt with the same issues with 50 States Movers. I'm determined to take Legal Action at this time.   (Less)
