Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This company should be put out of business.

I spoke numerous times with Jesse and Greg prior to the move. I asked direct question about the fees and was lied to.

I was told the fee was $169 for the first two hours, and $29 per hour for each additional hour. End of story.

The movers arrived and actually did a passable job of moving my property. They were unappealing in their appearance but I overlooked it.

When we got to my new apartment, I went over the fees with them.

Suddenly, it was $29 dollars an hour PER MAN over the initial $169 for the first two hours. I assure you, this was NOT the verbal agreement I had with Jesse/Greg whatsoever.

They worked from 12:30 pm-3:30 pm, a total of three hours including the trip to the new place. Very short, easy move. When I balked at the extra 'per man' charges, I was unable to get anyone to answer at the main number.

One mover in particular, 'Josh', became snide and sarcastic. He reminded me I signed a contract at the beginning of the move. Yes, I did sign a contract. It was yanked away from me before I could actually read it. They count on this tactic: People are stressed out and tired when moving and just want to get things over with. So they shove something for you to sign in your face then you never see the paper again.

I was promised a receipt by Jesse/Greg BEFORE AND AFTER the move. I never got a receipt.

Back to the rip-off: Even at the $169 for the first two hours plus the deceptive $29 an hour for each man thereafter, I should have only paid $229 TOTAL.

Here's where it gets ugly. They actually held my property HOSTAGE in the truck, demanding the full amount for the move before they would put my property in my apartment. This is a first! I have never had a moving company do this, and I have used many. They collect at the end of the move!

Then, I was informed that another charge for 'use of the truck' was due. They held on to four of my boxes and two rugs until I went to the ATM and withdrew another $30 for 'use of the truck'.

This is theft. That last thirty went in their pockets. What could I do? I am a woman who was by myself. So, a move that should have been $229 cost me $260.....a $31 rip-off multiplied by only God knows how many people that they have pulled this on.

A silk ficus tree was left in the walkway and was blown over by the wind. Josh was flippant, saying the tree was valueless. I object. I paid $50 for it.

Josh stated that he liked the pink stockings in a small dresser drawer that he moved into the apartment. What was he doing looking in my property? They were not stockings but gloves, btw.

The fact that he looked into the drawers of a closed cabinet when my back was turned tells me a lot about the men this company hires.

Not many companies will hire felons but moving companies do, knowing these men can't find jobs and can be abused.

CAVEAT EMPTOR.........STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

I NEVER GOT A RECEIPT. AFTER HOLDING MY PROPERTY HOSTAGE TO EXTRACT ANOTHER THIRTY DOLLARS FROM ME, THEY ZOOMED AWAY.

THEY ALSO DEMAND CASH ONLY. WONDER WHAT THAT MEANS. YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS.
