A Wholesale Siding And Window Company Required 50% deposit ($4,100) for new windows and front door and have disappeared Murray Utah
My boyfriend and I met with a representative for "A Wholesale Siding and Window Company" by the name of Zack Jennings in early August. We signed a contract and agreed on a 50% deposit ($4,100.00) for the windows and door to be ordered and installed.
After refinancing one of our vehicles we gave them a check for $4,100.00 on September 10, 2007. We were told (as contracted) that it would take 6-8 weeks for the windows to be ordered AND installed.
Weeks went by, we contacted the company several times and were only able to get an answering machine each time. A couple times Zack would call back and tell us that the windows should be in shortly.
A few more weeks went by, it was now 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. We called and left many messages on his phone, with the receptionist and with his manager Shem. When Zack called back he said the windows were done and are being shipped as we speak, so they should be installed "before Thanksgiving".
We tried getting a hold of the company several times as Thanksgiving neared but we failed. On the Monday following Thanksgiving I left a voicemail with the company telling them they were in breech of contract. The following day I still had not heared from the company so I called again and got the receptionist, she knew me by name when I told her who I was. She said she had relayed the message to Shem and that he would be calling me shortly.
4 more weeks have passed and we have not heared from anyone concerning our windows and door. It has been a total of 15 weeks since we gave them our deposit. Winter is here and the house is freezing as you can feel the draft pouring in from the windows. Our new baby has had many colds and is now sick at this time with a 100.6 temp.
Now when we call Zach's phone and another mans number that my boyfriend had for the company, they are both disconnected. The only number that works is to the office and no one ever answers or calls us back. We tried to go down to the company address on Fri. Dec. 21 and they were "closed for the holidays". We fear the have taken our money and split.
