rent to own = lease to own. They mean the SAME THING.
You are renting the chair until such time as you meet the number of on-time payments, per the written contract, in which Aaron's will consider the chair paid off-purchased. If you return the chair at any time during the rent-to-own time period, you have in essence rented the chair for the time period in which you possessed it.
What section of your WRITTEN AGREEMENT with Aaron's states that if you return the chair after 3 months, that they owe you a refund?

Why did you return it and why do you think they owe you money back?

yes aaron's is an rental company but they Lease there sales it is Lease to own

If that's so, you were renting to own, and no, they won't give you your money back.
