Academy DJs Distraught Bride dumped by DJ one week before her big day! Massillon Ohio
Company was contracted with 4-4-08 to acquire DJ services for a wedding to be held 5-24-08. $100 deposit was made. The first prospect presented had a stuttering problem, an obvious issue. The second choice took weeks to contact us but eventually an interview meeting occurred and an agreement was reached to hire. A second $100 deposit was made at that time with agreement to pay the remaining amount in full to the DJ at the event.
On May 14, only 9 days prior to the scheduled event, the DJ informed us and said company that he would not honor the contract due to a dispute with said company. Academy DJs contacted us and did not have a ready back-up plan or suitable replacement prospect.
Our $200 deposit was refunded but that still left us w/o entertainment for our daughter's wedding reception one week later. We were forced to hurridly hire a replacement on our own w/o benefit of the necessary time for interviewing prospects and at a considerably higher price than originally agreed upon with the company in question. No bride, or her family, should be put through this type of unprofessional behavior at such a late date leading up to the most important day of her life!! We hope this report will save others from a similar occurrence.
