Account Solutions Group has been calling my house asking for a person who no longer resides at this address. I have been living in this apartment complex for about a year and a half, so it's entirely possible that the person who they are trying to contact may have lived here years ago.

However, on numerous occasions, (approximately 25 times), I have told Account Solutions Group that the person they are looking for does not live here and to remove my number from their computer. I've tried being polite, I've tried being rude and I've tried threatening to file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney Generals Office and the Better Business Bureau. None of my ideas have worked.

For a period of about six weeks, I would let the call go to my answering machine or I would answer the call and immediately hang it up. When I did the hang up method, Account Solutions Group would immediately call back, sometimes 7-10 times.

I finally discovered information from the Federal Trade Commission, detailing that I could send a letter to Account Solutions Group demanding that they stop calling my home. However, when Account Solutions Group called this evening, they refused to give me their address claiming that unless I was an account holder, I couldn't have that information.

At that point I was very angry. I called the number on my Caller ID back and told them that I would like to send a check to them and asked for their address. They asked for my name and I said, It's for my sister, she has no phone, so I just need your address please. The lady on the other end was the most repulsive piece of human trash I have ever spoken to.

Luckily, I do some carpentry work for a lawyer, so he is going to create a letter and make a phone call for me if needed. As of now, he has told me that I have enough of a foundation to sue them based on the harassment, annoyance and emotional stress, plus an additional amount of $1000 set aside by the Federal Trade Commission. I don't think I will pursue a lawsuit, unless the calls continue after I have sent the letter.

Jeremy, Just send a CEASE COMMUNICATIONS letter as per your rights under the FDCPA. Send it by certified mail, return reciept requested. Put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records, so you can sue them when they violate it.
