I also heard about this audition on the WABC NY radio station. The guy from Zack & Cody The Suite Life was the one promoting the commercial. I called and was given an appt to bring my children to the Sheraton in E. Rutherford, NJ. Same deal as with the other posters. They played all the Disney Channel songs, etc. Lilly was our speaker and we also heard from a lady by the name of Lisa Carduto. Same deal, they called the rows, met with a "rep" for all of 1/2 a minute (for both my kids!) and then were given a short "script" to perform in front of a digital videocamera. I knew from the start that this was a scam because the first thing that was given to us was a colorful brochure with testimonials from the likes of Mario Lopez and Scarlett Johansen (sic). At first I was impressed, but in reading deeper into their testimonials nowhere did it indicate that these people had actually taken lessons or been discovered by ACT. I wanted to leave, but my daughter was so excited that I didn't have the heart to get up and walk out. Because this is something that she really wants to do, I let her get a "feel" for the audition process but I know nothing will come of it. However, I do want to thank ACT for giving me a heads up as to what not to look for when looking for a reputable school for my children.
