UPDATE: The 1/30/2003 shutoff request date was actually 1/31/2003. Typo on my part. 2/13/2003: Received "You will be shutoff for nonpayment" notice stating that if it wasn't already, it would be shortly, reflecting the old balance. 2/14/2003: Called, but business office was out. Was told that they didn't show the request for disconnect, however that persons only option (5:30PM) was to schedule a shutoff. 2/19/2003: Called, and initially spoke to Debbie. Said shutoff was scheduled for tommorrow at that point, and stated that they had been here on 2/13, and had noticed we had a Dish. They did not disconnect the cable at that time. Was transferred to Al (first time we managed to get the man on the phone since early 12/23/2002) regarding why we were still being billed beyond the 1/31 shutoff that was actually in place and threatoned with a shutoff we actually requested at an earlier date. Al confirmed the bill would be corrected to last date on 1/31, and that the cable would be off on 2/20/2003. We tested it on 1/18, and determined it was still on (the line is just pushed down to the floor to have it neatly out of the way). He said a correct, and final bill will come in March, as the current billing cycle had already past. More will be revealed as it occurs...
