Air and Land Vacation aka Mini Vacations ripoff stole $100 never refunding our $100 deposit we canceled our vacation certificate Tampa Florida *UPDATE ..Mini Vacations contacts Rip-off Report to give a full Refund or replacement certificates to any unsatisfied customer..
My husband and I attended a 90min presentation in January,2002 and received a "free air and land vacation"- Ha!!!! Mini Vacations Inc. took a $100 deposit by U.S. Postal M.O. only!! to reserve our right to 3days and 2nights in Las Vegas,airfare included. No telephone number was ever available to ask any questions.
We received a vacation certificate which had so many restrictive conditions and penalty charges to change any of the restrictions that we quickly realized this was a HUGE MISTAKE and followed the instructions to cancel our certificate. We were to get a full refund of our $100 deposit if we sent a written request.
We did just that by certified mail on 7-27-02 and have not heard a word since!!
I tried calling directory assistance and got a number which just kept repeating the same recorded message over and over!!! It was designed for you to never reach anyone.
After finding this website I got anoth tel. no.only to be told that was human resources and we should call cust. svc. Needless to say cust. svc is either always busy or you get a recording saying,"call back later".
This is one big SCAM and i believe the Fl State Atty General should be working on this. That will be my next move. Also I intend to report them to the BBB in Tampa.
Any help getting this co. to cough up our $100 would be appreciated.

NOTE: Rip-off Report launched a complete investigation on this particular situation and found that Mini Vacations had no control over promises another company makes when marketing their vacation coupons. Even though Mini Vacations is not responsible for another company's actions, they have been giving FULL refunds to anyone who has contacted them, and has even given more than they should have in the name of good customer service
