AIU-American Intercontinental University Online ripoff Hoffman Estates Illinois
This company is a rip-off. Unfortunately as a student, I was conned into attending this university. I informed my "advisor" that I wasn't happy attending there (after the 1st class) and did not want to continue.I was advised to continue to log in and let my instructor know that I didn't want to continue.
I started receiving bills from American Education Services (AES), informing me I owe over $9000.00 worth of loans and I needed to contact AIU for an explanation. Due to the fact that they are a government agency.
On March 20, 2006, I contacted AIU and was transferred to John in Student Accounts. This man was very unprofessional, he kept talking over me and asked me why would I let my advisor advise me to continue to log into class.
I tried to explain to him that I allowed the advisor to advise me since that was their job and that I didn't work there and had no idea I was being misled for the sake of $9000 at my expense. Of course he kept talking over me.
By the way, I took the class in January and was billed up until November 2005.
I pray that God takes vengeance on this horrible institution, and stop the misrepresentation of something decent.
