I'm sorry to hear that you were ripped off. Western Union has tried to inform its customers that you are never to send money to anyone you do not personally know, but very few people are willing to hear that spiel when they are in a hurry. Please go to your nearest Western Union office and ask how to file a fraud report. If none are near you, look in the phone book for their toll free number.) All money that is picked up on the receiving end requires a photo ID, and all information from that ID is recorded into the computer. They can also trace where the check this person picked up was cashed, and, depending on the amount you sent, a fingerprint may be inked from the recipient onto the check itself.

Don't send them another penny. Write up what happened, with as much detail as you can recall and contact local law enforcement and try FTC.GOV to see if there's something they suggest.

NO ANY legal sweepstakes, lottery EVER requests winners to send ANY money. (They have your millions, they can simply withold any fee, taxes from the prize.) NO ANY legal business requires ANY fee to send through money gramm, WU to a PRIVATE person aboard.

To win a sweepstakes or lottery, you have to enter a sweepstakes or a lottery. If they just mailed you a letter saying you won a sweepstakes or lottery that you didn't enter, that is a SCAM. Sorry you fell for this SCAM. I can only imagine how devistated you are at this point. Not only did you not win a million dollars, but you are now out other money.
