I had a call from ASTAR (Previously All Seasons Travel) TODAY. And they are indeed claiming that the hotels are THREE or FOUR star accomodation. Indeed, this was mentioned at least 3 or 4 times to me during the conversation, and included the Radisson as mentioned in the initial post. Continuing lies from these people.

Frank, I do apoligize for the trouble you had in on your vacation but that is clearly not the intention of Take a Break Travel to mislead you in any way. None of us ever claim when speaking on the phone that the hotels are three or four star. They are standard hotels. We do offer upgrades and the tour terms are in the paperwor along with the complementary economy car unfortunately SUV's are not contracted out to Take a Break but we do offer bigger cars. I personally have stayed at the Radison and had a good experience there. Every comment is taken with the unmost concern and yes it is true that Neil was fired for being dishonest because I worked there at the time he was fired. We all worked hard and he took advantage of everyone of us. Everyone that works at Take a Break Cares about each and every customer that calls in I am sorry you had a bad experience. But that was not the intention of the comapny.

It is so ironic when I read letters like the one Neal has submitted. His letters outlines horrific details about purchasing a vacation package. I disagree with most of his lies. Neal was fired from TakeABreak Travel because he was using unethical business practices to make more money via commision. His commision was based on the number of upgrades he could offer to a client. He was top salesman for years actually. We found out the reason he was so successful is because he was stealing commisions from another hard working agents. He was fired. Funny how he complains about everyone else's business ethic. He would still be stealing if he wasn't caught. I forgive him though. I guess I would write nasty lies to if I wanted to devert the guilt for myself.

Hello, I am a former employee and I feel sorry for the hundreds and hundreds of people who have been ripped off by the following companies.(Ramada Plaza Resorts, Florida Travel Escapes, All Season's Travel, Adventure Marketing, Vacation Showroom) All these companies listed offer bogus vacation packages and when you decide to take these trips you end up spending most of your vacation time taking time share tours (4 hours minimum) They do not take credit cards for payment, they deduct the money directly from your checking account, so they don't have to deal with credit card companies that protect the consumer. The hotels that you stay in are old, nasty, run down places that are considered 1 star accomodations. I happened to work for a company called Take a Break Travel which is the company that books the travel for these companies. If you try and reach these companies to cancel your package, they will either 1) not answer the phone a message will come on. 2) try and offer you extended time to take your trips. 3) and are extremely rude where you will get no customer satisfaction. Just a little info the owner has scammed people for years and drives a maserati that innocent non informed people have contributed to. They avdvertise on the internet with pop up ads offering a deluxe vacation for 99 per person. They do not advise you of all the blackout dates, that you and every member of your party will be forced to do a time share tour in every destination, not just one, and if you are not interested in purchasing a time share they will treat you like crap, and often leave you at the property in the middle of nowhere trying to find transportation back to your sleazy, run down hotel. I worked for this company for a long time and have seen many horror stories regarding these packages. Now under the All Seasons name they solicted europeans to pay 898 or whatever money they can get to buy these vacations. Just a heads up, you will spend tons of money on extras you were never told about. the cruise they offer is a cruise to the bahamas on imperial majesty cruise line, which is an old rundown ship and include the price of the cruise in your package, then when you decide to take the cruise, they will charge you again 135 or more for port charges. Just so you know the port charges are around $ 15 per person but they try and get 135 out of you. As you see there are numerous complaints about thses companies listed and several complaints have been filed with the better business bureau. Just in the future please do some homework and reserach before you invest in these lame packages. I decided to leave this company when i realized they have no concern for people and continually ripped innocent people off.
