Alladin Tours Orlando AKA George Montanez Prepaid an airport pick-up (no receipt given), never showed up and doesn't want to pay back Orlando Florida
Because I knew someone that works at this place, I hired this limo service for a roundtrip ride to the airport and back to my home. On the drop-off ride to the airport he asked that I pay the $80 in advance for the roundtrip, so we did and didn't receive a receipt and that once I got back from my trip to call or text him and he would come and pick us up at the airport for our ride back home because he could be wandering around with other clients or whatever.
Well, it happened to be that my flight got delayed about and 1 1/2 hours and I had forgotten my phone back at the hotel in the midst of rushing to the airport that morning, so I had no way of contacting him to pick us up. But I figured, since he had my flight info (airline, est. time arrival and where the flight was coming from) he would be there regardless since we had paid him in advance and I knew him personally. That there is no way he would rip me off.
Clearly, I was wrong. He never showed up and we ended taking a yellow cab back home. Which was fine but I thought he would call and find out if I got home safely or if I had ever made it back. I received my phone a couple of days later and I reached out to him to see what happened. If he had shown up or if he didn't show up, basically what was his side of the story and of course to ask him if we could get together so he could repay for the $40 advance payment for the trip that was never made.
He gave me a story that said as follows: "Hey there..:-). Yes....I wondered what happened. I had to go out of town and had a limo waiting for you guys. He waited for almost two hours. I tried calling and texting you also. Let me try to talk to him because I paid him for the job. Call me when you get your phone back and we can coordinate somewhere to meet up. Hope you enjoyed your vacay..:-)". But in reality, I had no missed calls from him or texts from any unknown number attempting to reach me that day at all. (What I didn't know was that when I left my phone at the hotel, it was on vibrate and when the hotel ppl mailed it they left it on, so all calls/texts/emails came through.
I never heard from him again. It's been almost 3 weeks and I've attempted to reach him an additional 3-4 times and he sends me straight to voicemail. I always leave a message and he doesn't return my calls. I'm really upset because I should have known better than to pay for a service that hadn't been done ahead of time, especially, a cab driver. To me the most that bothers me is the honesty of this individual/company. He is ripping me off for $40.
