I too have gotten calls from this company. I had an outstanding payment do to my phone company for a service that I had canceled. I had not idea about the money owed until Allied Interstate called. Since this is an account you have never had, you can write a Cease Communitation letter to Allied Interstate. You can a copy of one on www.budhibbs.com The letter is free all you do is copy and send. This is also a GREAT site for consumers, full of very useful info. If the cease communication letter does not work, there is always the Attorney General of the state Allied Interstate is located. Keep us posted....

All you need to do is send them a DEBT VALIDATION request as per the provisions of the FDCPA. Send this letter by certified mail, return reciept requested. Be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. This is VERY important to do it this way. In this letter clerly deny the debt and DEMAND to see the original signed contract that created the debt, as well as a full account history and itemization of all charges. Also demand proof that they are legally entitled to collect on this debt. DEMAND to see the entire "chain of title" on the alleged debt as well as a purchase contract and proof of payment, including amount paid. With this done exactly this way, you will most likely never hear from them again. Go to ftc.gov and file complaints against them online.
