Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I had purchased Car insurance through Allstate for a reasonable price for 66 a month. I never had a speding ticket and never made a claim. So I thought that was a pretty good price for full coverage.

After setting up my account they kept insisting  that I set up auto withdraw for monthly payment, If you didnt then they would charge you a fee for not allowing them to get your money real easy.

I never really gave it much thought since I never had a ticket and no wrecks to double check how much Allstate was pulling from my account, over 3 years they slowly increased my premium to 93.91 a month. With a service charge I was paying close to 1200 a year. I was in shock, thinking to myself, Why am I being charged rates for a 19 year old when I am 48.

I contacted my agent and asked him what the hell is going on here. This is what he said

"Quote" (In looking our your policy, your premium actually decrease from you last renewal. Your renewal in March was $557.47 and your renewal for September is $542.63 -. A $14.84  decrease. I hope this helps to answer your question.)

I was like REALLY!! I asked him why the price increase since I had no tickets and no claims and that was his answer. Jeesh. So i asked again in a different way this is what he had to say:

"QUOTE" ( I suppose you are referencing from the date of the initial policy in Sept. 2013. Since that time Allstate like so many other insurance companies in Missouri has seen a significant price increase due to increased cost of car and car parts, the increased number od accidents due to more cars on the road. When new car sales increase as they have with higher prices for those cars, gas prices decreasing which means more people are driving more miles and unemployment is lower which means more people are on the road going back and forth to work, this has increased the accident rate significantly.

Since auto insurance is based on a pool of drivers in Missouri and Allstate specifically, those cost are spread across all of the policy holders so that Allstate and any insurance company can continue to be in business and maintain good service to all customers.

It has been a difficult time but you renewal premium did in fact decrease in Sept.

I hope this helps to clarify the increase in premium. I has affected all of us who have Allstate Insurance, just like so many others.

We appreciate your business and will work to keep you informed and update as much as we possibly can

What a load of crap, Especially the part "WILL WORK TO KEEP YOU INFORMED", He never informed me that my rates went up, thus giving me the chance to say ok or hell no. Instead they just took my money and said nothing to me.

I told him I would be terminating my policy and he had this to say:

I understand where you are coming from. As I explained it is not predicated necessarily on our personal driving record but the pool of drivers in Missouri. I do not like it any more than you do. Just remember that other insurance companies may give a lower introductory rate then make big increases. We have had customers change and then return because of that.

I hope we can continue to give as good a service to you as we have the ability to do so.

Have a Blessed day

I thought i would bring this into the light that one should never turn their back on thier friendly Insurance agent, They will rob you blind.
