I understand your plight and can totally sympathize with you! Hopefully, this information will help you figure out a few things and clarify a few others. Did you know that Altegra Credit Company is now National City? And did you know that National City sold or transferred some of their mortgage servicing to Wells Fargo who incidentally does business as America's Servicing Company? Well it's true! You are not alone in this situation, there are several other families going through what you described.
