Alternative Recovery Management Harassing call La Mesa CA
A gentleman by the name of "Jim Knox" contacted me today in an attempt to reach my brother, under the guise that he was a friend of my brother's, and that he had been trying to reach him for days. He said it was an urgent matter. When I asked what it was pertaining to, he asked me "Why?" When I expressed that I would not convey a message without knowing who this person was and what they wanted, he became combative. I had answered the phone with my married name, once he realized I was not going to assist him, he began referring to me with my maiden name. (A little concerning.) I have had similar calls from scam artists since my personal information was compromised in the Equifax Cyber breach. Mr. Knox was rude, angry and grew more aggressive as I tried to ascertain the name of the company he was representing. Eventually he hung up. A quick reverse number lookup is all it took, and to use unfair collection practices isn't the smartest move when the business number is listed. I also found DOZENS if complaints and fraud reports for this same number.
