This Company contacted me after I applied for an ad on craigslist for behind the scene work at fashion week in NYC, although they wouldn't admit it, their ad stated $500 per day. When I reached out to them they simply stated that talent scouts refer people to them and it would be difficult to track the initial referral. After receiving about 3 or 4 emails stating that they had been trying to reach me and there were casting directors that wanted to work me because of my qualifications.

I was scheduled for a Webinar through gotomeetings that was to last 1 hour, it lasted 2. After that I was instructed to make an appointment for a one on one interview, sound familiar?? Meanwhile, I was referred to their website via links that supported all their claims to fame. Roughly 5 minutes into the interview, I asked the clerk what this was going to cost. She stated that since I chose not to go to the VIP Connect Event (cost $1800) I was eligible for Management with a one time licensing fee of $795, I immediately told her that I would not be paying any up front fee and any casting/management that charged an up front fee was a scam and a ripoff, then the fun started.

Basically here is what this company offers, for about $1800 you can sign up for The Vip Connect Event and you will qualify for agency, if you choose not to attend the event you pay $795 and they will manage you. They have and agency acceptance level and a management level that are one in the same. Pay $1800 you are accepted for agency, pay $795 and you are managed. The selling point is that at the Vip Connect Event heavily connected industry people will be there for you to network with. Oh yeah, they charge you 20% if,.. ooops I mean when they find you work!

Now, back to my interview! After letting the clerk know that I would not pay a fee and wanted the company to prove their worthiness to me, she politely told me she would get a manager. Well who do you think took the interview over, none other than Alycia Kaback herself, the owner and head scam artist. Immediately she became rude and would not let me speak, even after allowing her to speak she constantly interrupted me. In fact, some of the first words out of her mouth were ****, *****, and scam, wow! She told me I would never get work because I was 56 and only 5'10" and I was conceited and that was why I had been trying to get into the industry my whole life. Well, if she had read any of the meaningless paperwork I was instructed to send in she would see that I had only decided to try this recently. She told me I was too high of a risk also and they would have to get a licensing fee ($795) Good thing for me I read up a little on these scammers.

I wonder, how did I go from getting numerous emails that casting directors wanted to work with me bacause of my qualifications and qualify for both agency or management to being too old and too short? I'll tell you how, I refused to let them scam me, if they were reputable they would have worked with me, not tried to rip me off. Not to be misleading, it will cost to enter this industry, nothing is free, but an agencies revenues come from a percentage of the artits earnings. I offered to have all my own headshots done, they wouldn't hear it.

Well I'll tell you I may be 56 years old and only 5'10" that will never change. Alycia Kaback will always be rude a scam artist and that will never change. Oh yeah, there is something else about her that will probably never change, HER FAT ***!!!
