I applied for an online loan through "American Cash Advance". I spoke with Michael Smith, and he indicated that I needed to purchase a Green Dot money pack for $300, as proof of ability to make the first loan payment.
I gave him the numbers from the money packs, and they said they attempted to deposit the money in my bank account, but the IRS seized $766. Michael Smith then told me they would pay $383 if I would pay $383 to cover the IRS seizure. I sent the $383 via Green Dot. He then told me that they need documentation from the IRS that the debt was paid. He then said that I needed to send $215 to unlock a pin number to get my loan. I sent the $215, and was given the following PIN#*****984 to get a money gram from Walmart.

They would just keep making up new fees and charges until you wised up or tapped out, then they would kick you to the curb and disappear. There is no way to trace the funds you sent them and they used an old, well known scam to get your money. It is illegal, in the U.S. to ask for upfront money for a loan. They aren't too worried, as they are likely located in India.
Your money is gone and hopefully you've learned from this. Most people realize it's a scam long before it went as far as it did.
Don't be surprised if sometime in the future some "company" like ACS accuses you of owing on a loan. These people are relentless in their Ripoff schemes.
