solicitors sold my daughter a subscription for a magazine claiming that buy subscribing they would get points which would eventually translate to some sort of money form to pay for college. They said she didn't even have to buy something, she could just cancel her subscription within the cancellation period and they would still get their points.
So she decided to help them out and make a subscription. She also advised them she to was heading off to college in the fall and money was tight for her. But they still insisted that she could cancell the subscription and no money would ever leave her account.
After she returned home and tried to cancell the order she was unable to contact anyone or cancell the order in the manner they described . Feeling embaressed that she might have been scammed she failed to report it to anyone else who could have helped. By me going over the bank statements and seeing a cashed check for Family Subscriptions in the amount of $51.00 has prompted me to report this so others know whats going on with these so called magazine subscriptions. I hope these people rot, taking money from hard working people who unlike themselves are also trying to go to college, without ripping off the public to do it.
