Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have been a customer of American Hmoe Shield for four years now. Each time I called this company for service I have been given the run around. Fortunately, I live in a fairly new home and there is not alot of problems that need repairs.

I have a on-going problem with my heat pump--for the past three years I have call this company asking for repair/service on this unit since my home just is not being heated properly. Each time the furnace is checked and I have been told it is fine. Again, in the summer I have called for service/repair because the air conditioning is not cooling properly. Each time I have been told everything check out properly.

This winter our house has been harder to heat/keep warm--3 different times AHS has sent out a serviceman that now say the duct work has worked loose and needs to be repaired REPAIRED not REPLACED and after three service calls for the same problem--AHS is now saying the policy does not cover ductwork! They even tried to say that the duct work was never installed properly (code) to begin with--yet they have collected a service/repair fee each time and have never told us that! We have proof that the ductwork was installed properly and to code--yet nothing is being done from this warranty company!

In the meantime--my electricity is through the roof because my ductwork needs some repair. I am basically heating./cooling underneath the house. My warranty policy clearly states my warranty will cover ductwork. The continual runaround has stressed me a great deal and makes me feel very vunulable. The continual prone calls and the continual runaround with double talk and denial is just about more than one can bear. I have names a dates of the diffrent people I have spoken to.

I intend to contact the Arkansas Insurance Commissioner and the Attorney General on this issue--I am been ripped off for insurance cost that do not offer coverage as they have promised. There are laws against fraud and breaking a contract!
