I went to monsteringmoving.com for mortgage quotes. Amerimax came up as a 4.5% interest rate. I called and left a message for some one to call me to give me a verbal quote. Lorin called back and I told him I wanted a no cost loan, no problem 4.5%.

I gave him information to complete the loan application. I had to have them correct the loan application 3 times. Misspelled words and information. On Monday Mike calls and said oh that loan will cost you fees but I can do a 4.875 15 year no cost loan. I agreed. When the notary came with the escrow papers for us to sign it was not a no cost loan. The notary can back my husband and I up on that. We called Mike and he said if you do not sign you will not get this rate.

We had 30 days and it had not even been 2 weeks. He said sign and he would cut us a check for the 350 appraisal that we paid for and that he would call escrow and straighten the problem out that it was escrows error. We signed on that Friday night. Monday @ 2:00 p.m. I had not heard from him so I called and I asked for Mike, and Lorin said that he wasn't available and I told him that Mike had said he would refund us the 350.00 and correct the escrow papers.

Lorin said this loan is costing us money. I said how is that you said you could do a no cost loan. That is what we agreed upon. He said it is not worth it. He rambled something about us not having impounds. I am not stupid was their intent on their part to hide the charges thru impounds? I said fine then I will cancel and not go thru with the loan. Lorin hung up on me. I called escrow on Tuesday morning to see if they received any revised info.

They said no so I said I was cancelling and I faxed to them the cancellation and they said they would notify Lender. Mike called on Wednesday and left a message to call with let's work this out. I did not see any need in calling because I am a person of my word and if someone promises something to me and does not follow thru with the promise I do not do business with them. I had not heard from him nor had I called him. On April 2nd, 2004 the secretary in my office said a Bob somebody was on line one.

I did not recognize the name but since it is tax season I thought it could be a broker calling on behalf of a client. I took the call and it was Mike Rausch. He used a false name to get thru to me and said why did I not call him. I told him I did and he was not available and that Lorin said that you weren't making any money on this loan and that it was costing you money. He basically called me a liar and said that escrow corrected the paper work and I do recall receiving a phone call from Escrow a couple of days after I had previously spoke with Escrow.

I informed them that I do not do business with people that misrepresent themselves. She said she understood and was pleasant and said that Mike was really angry. Back to the conversation with Mike Rausch he said that he was going to bill me for the loan application and if I did not pay it he would take me to small claims. I said fine. He hung up on me. That is obviously their procedure when they don't like someone confronting them on their misconduct. He can bill me and I will go to small claims court. I have all my documentation and their have been other people ripped off by this business Amerimax.

This is a client you will never see happy, she is the person in the grocery store yelling at the cashier because she's in a hurry, or giving her waitress a hard time over nothing, so she won't have to leave a tip. Linda was given a free no cost loan all fees paid including the title, escrow, recording fees, lender fees, appraisal fees all fees on the closing statement, however, that is not good enough. She wanted us to change a legal document and show that the appraisal was'nt paid, when it was, this would be a respa violation, sorry linda can't break the law for you. Linda had already paid for the appraisal, all she had to do, was drive two blocks from where she worked to our office and collect a $350.00 dollar check, and she would'nt do it? For some people nothings good enough, we have all met them, I've learned they are very unhappy people, and the best way to deal with them is to politely avoid them. thanks, Mike
