Ameriquest ripoff Clearwater Florida
I too was a notary for the Ameriquest Clearwater branch. I didn't do much business with them (thankfully) but I did look back and realized that of the loans that I did close for them, 30% of them I did not get paid for, for one reason or another. Just about every loan I did for them was last minute, everything was so hurried.
Most often times, the borrowers didn't know about their closing costs or that there loan was an ARM and not fixed, or about the last minute change in their "final" interest rate. I was told on more than one occasion " you know what you need to do", translation, you need to sell this loan to this borrower.
With the internal struggle to do what was right vs. their relentless pursuit to "sell the sizzle", I decided to draw a line in the sand and say no more. I was told it would be best if we part ways. I couldn't have agreed more.
I know for a fact that there are reputable lenders out there, where there are no suprises at the closing table. There are people that are honest and forthcoming with their borrowers, who genuinely take pride in helping their borrower get into a better financial position.
At Ameriquest in Cearwater, it's all about how much revenue they can get from you.
