AMS Metering Services Original Report 2006, Now 2011 AND AMS IS STILL AT WORK! Sarasota, Florida
I didn't specifically look up a ripoff report on the water billing company for my apartment, I was looking up the website to make sure I had the new one, and the 2006 Report from someone came up.
I have been calling the AMS Billing place The Water Mafia since I moved in here in late 2008. We have truly received bills from AMS that had ZERO PRIOR BALANCE BUT WERE RED-STAMPED ''PAST DUE''. How are we past due when we OWED ZERO PAST DUE????
The ''bottom of the statement'' notation had been, for many months, that if you are more than $100 in debt to AMS and not current, the customer will be reported to their landlord. Evidently this was inappropriate as this summer the notice changed to the following, and this is directly from my bill online:
Beginning January 1, 2011 any resident who is more than 90 days late and owes more than $100.00 will be put into collections and will be reported to the three major credit bureaus. Please make arrangements to bring your water/sewer/trash account
current ASAP!
I am certain I have an old bill somewhere that will show the prior statement of reporting the tenant to the landlord as well, and will hang on to it.
What is hysterical at this point is the most recent bill HAS NO BOTTOM OF THE STATEMENT NOTATION AT ALL.
I definitely thought it was out of line when they would report a tenant for $100+ and past due AT ALL, since payments cross, etc., and that did disappear I guess. It was curious to me with the new note that the fees are owed to the apartment complex who bill through AMS but AMS is not the actual owner of the problem account, I THINK. Regardless it seemed disgusting but also in line with AMS.
Now having my current statement with no notice at all on the bottom, lololol, yes, AMS practices illegal activities, that is apparent.
No matter when it is that you look up your bill online, the due date is ALWAYS LISTED AS TODAY'S DATE. You cannot get an actual printed format statement from their website, it will always be this fake thing showing a wrong amount, FOR SURE, and a current day's due date. I received my current bill in the mail stating $72.00. When I look online it STILL SAYS $20.00 BALANCE DUE. I never knew where that $20 came from, and I know if I pay only $20, per their site, I will be in trouble lololol.
AMS YOU SUCK SO BAD. Karma does exist, and the water mafia employees who are NOT in the dark, and all those associated with AMS to rob from their fellow human beings for what is a life-dependent service ---- you all will get yours, and I hope a large number of you are already getting yours. Bad events aren't always randomly occurring, maybe you should evaluate the bad things in your life and contemplate that perhaps they occur because of your knowing mistreatment of your fellow man.
