THAT pretty much says it all.
It should be, IMO, but it is NOT legal.

I am not going to take sides with this report, because hey who knows, he may need that pot. However, medical marijuana has been APPROVED through the VA. So a combat vet or prior vet can be prescribed medical marijuana. The only legalities concerned is if it is legal in the current state. I wasn't aware it was legal in NY...

I think says it all.
No, I do not think it is perfect but is certainly deserves a salute!
Thank you Commissioner Kelly!

it is a medical necessity. So until you get your MD, you can just STFU, your calling my doctor a lair.
I'm not calling your out-of-state doctor a liar, I'm calling YOU a liar (or an idiot, pick one.)
No NY doctor prescribed MJ for you. Here's an article you might want to read about posessing MJ in NY State: http://www.queensdefense.com/marijuana.htm
Read the article, it's good information for you. If you have any questions, ask.
You make multiple postings, inferring wiretapping, entrapment, and that the police called you to get you to sell them MJ. The police had to know that you had it on you. Then, for no reason at all (according to you) the throw you in jail for a half a joint-sorry but your story doesn't wash as you posted it.
Here in NYS, knucklehead, it is a misdemeanor to be smoking that doobie in public.
Posession of under 25 grams is normally a violation and is treated the same as a traffic infraction. Attempting to SELL or DISTRIBUTE (even for free-give it to a friend) is a crime; misdemeanor at least, felony at worst.

They are Meds.
Cannabis is decriminalized at the State level in New York so the City really has no business going against the wishes of the state.
Strike 2 against them.
Ron Paul and Barney Frank jointly filed for the removal of cannabis from schedule 1 two months ago so the bill is on the hill. Not even the politicians want the bullshit anymore.
Thank you for your input and thanks for you time in the field, but your comments are way outside of your expertise.

There is no legal "medicinal marijuana" in NY State. Further, casual marijuana use in NYS has been decriminalized so if you spent 3 days in jail, there is a part of the story you're not telling-it was for something other than a 1/2 joint.
But wait, didn't you file another ROR about illegal wiretapping? Now why do you suppose your phone was wiretapped? Why would they pick little old you to wiretap and ask for a drug deal?
Here's your other "n**i" roport: http://www.ripoffreport.com/police/anthony-j-izzo/anthony-j-izzo-assistant-chie-2a021.htm
Oh, and you being a veteran is irrelevant. I served in several combat arenas and I didn't resort to illegal drug use. I suggest you go back to one of the two states you claim to have a prescription for marijuana, and maybe get some counseling for your alleged PTSD.

"I am prescribed in 2 states for my PTSD for cannabis." Is this "prescription" good in NYC?...probably not. You do know federal law still says MJ is illegal? That includes MMJ.
Sorry for your ailment, but sometimes it takes awhile for the laws to change.
BTW, the cops don't make the laws, they just enforce the ones the legislators, including the feds enact...take it up with them.
