My husband went on-line to purchase tickets to a local event.  The first name that came up was Anytickets.  Yesterday we received the tickets and they charged us  5 times the cost of the ticket $600. for 2 $57.00 tickets.  When I spoke to them on the phone regarding this, they said that's because these tickets were hard to come by.  I had already contacted the local ticket outlet and these tickets are readily available.  These people scammed us!

We don't like hearing about unsatisfied customers, but in this case I don't see what we could possibly do differently.

All of our fees are disclosed up front. There are no surprise charges.
If you don't like the fees, or think we have "inflated" prices, then you don't need to purchase the tickets from us.As a smart consumer you should by all means do some research and hunt for the best deal possible deal.

The tickets your husband purchased were in very high demand. There were many people who wanted to attend that event. That is why your price was so much higher than the face value.

All of our prices are based on the market value of the ticket (not the face value). It is simply supply and demand. If there are lots of people who want to go to an event and only a few tickets, the price rises to reflect that. (Ebay is a perfect example of this.)

Trust me, when our seats aren't selling we lower our prices fast. We don't want to be stuck with worthless tickets after the event is over.

We often appear at the top of the search engines because we do a lot of business and are a trusted source to buy tickets. We aren't going to apologies for that, we have earned that because we have years of good service and treating customers right.

#3Consumer Suggestion

The way to avoid a ticket markup is to get in line all night and catch ticket releases as they happen.  I like going to shows, and don't like waiting hours for tickets... so I pay a mark up and everyone's happy!  I've been to Anytickets three times now; they were VERY CLEAR WITH ME ABOUT THE TOTAL PRICE, and they had GREAT SEATS each time.  Maybe the customer spent more than they could afford, but that's not Anytickets fault.
