there are 800,000 people inthe us currently  gettting home supplemental oxygen therapy.  the Oxygen companies have deiceded that in order toget a portal coneentrator, that allows you some degree of freedoem, you must also have a home conectrator that is completely un-needed.  The single portable unit, if chosen correctly, is all the patient needs, however, the portabe unit rents forabout 118 a montand the home unit for 169 (these are my costs)  the cost to purchase a home unitl is about 500 and the protabe can be as cheap as 500 or as expensive as 3500.  andy way  you cut this pir, the home o2 pt loses and hte corporatiosn with, the gove mays 80% of this and the  home user ays 20%.

eIf  you simpy assume that half the peope out there need the protable only, you save 170 x 400,000 pr 67,600,000 per year.  the incisentof fires would also be rediced as the portable on deman oxygen and not cinintuouw fow, as the ore dangeroushoe conentrtor is

If your only (portable) source failed while you are at home, what are you going to do when you need the Oxygen 24/7? Hopefully, they get there on time...

Colorado,
What reason does Apria give for "requiring" you to have both oxygen sources?

Your report is so badly written that it's difficult to really tell what's happening.  You need to have a neighborhood third grader help you with your Ripoff Reports.

If you're on O2  24/7, that would be my guess is the reason for the dual sources.  The portables may NOT be designed for continuous generation?  I am on O2 24/7 and have the homefill unit with the one ac concentrator and fill unit.

ANY oxygen source CAN contribute to a fire is mis-used.  From what I can find out, it's VERY rare in any instance.
