Purchased a 2004 Dodge Durango SLT HEMI on October 14 2013 from Dexter at Arion Motors. Vehicle was purchased with the 14 day warranty which I paid an extra $250 for. Vehicle was promised ready on Friday evening, which never happened even after spending several hours waiting being told by dexter it was "being proessed". Then finally Dexter said the vehicle was unable to be released because it was now after 5pm, so i should come back Monday. Arrived monday afternoon and vehicle was still not on premises, even thought I had called and advised Dexter I would be there shortly to pick up and sign paperwork. My son and I waited several hours for vehicle to be on premisis and get paperwork done, due to nobody available to process papers, but Dexter was already out trying to sell other vehicles telling me i must wait for the owner and the other guy because his account is not working in the computer to do the paperwork, although he was able to process my payment immediately.

Forward to the 18th, only 4 days later. Vehicle is making engine knocking noise and oil light is CONSTANT on and chiming. I bring to my local Dodge Dealer and have them check the vehicle out as a total and make sure all, if any, recalls have been updated on vehicle. There are MULTIPLE mechanical issues with the vehicle found, most noteable the oil pressure switch and harness is soaked with oil and non functional, the block and crankshaft need to be replaced due to the oilr pressure issue, as well the spacer between the pressure plate and flywheel is GONE, which has started deteriorating the the flywheel and the starter is also disinigrating from the parts rubbing.  Obviously the engine has been dropped and was not replaced together correctly which has left the vehicle in an unsound mechanical state. I bring this to Dexters attention immediately. He tells me to "keep me posted" on what all the repairs will be. I stop in to see him next day with a print out of the repairs. I am not received very well at all. The vehicle shut off on me WHILE DRIVING with no warning in the middle of Sunrise Blvd.  I am now told the vehicle was sold AS IS by them and I would have to contact MANHEIM AUCTION to deal with the warranty though them. Now I ask for the owner, and he tells me I have to deal with Dexter because They just allow him to use their office to process sales, but he has his own dealers license so he is responsible for his own sales. and the back and forth finger pointing goes on for several days. I call Manheim and speak with their office and I am told only dealers can bring the vehicles in covered under warranty.

This is a HUGE BIG AUTO SCAM RING. I have now stopped payment on all monies and now know why they were so hesitant to accept payment by my bank card telling me that they are charged a $5 processing fee, so they would rather me pay cash, or the other excuse was the card system was down so I have to wait for them to call to reset it, which i am glad i waited. All calls and texts to Dexter the past week have gone without response. Today I went online to DMV website and processed a Notice of Sale back to Arion Motors, called AAA to send a tow, and dropped that big piece of metal off in their parking lot. As the Tow driver is dropping the car and I was removing my tag, NOW the Owners son/brother chunky guy could come out and talk to me wanting to know what i was doing when last week I was ignored when i showed up in person trying to resolve this issue amicably and told to leave or the Davie police would be called because i was being a nuisance and trespassing.

i am a single mother with 2 children and one visually challenged. I receive no child support from my ex husband, and recently eliminated my position at Broward Health after 21 years of service. I am a full time college student again, and my 2003 dodge durango was totalled on my way to school on October 3rd in the rain storm when another vehicle crossed my lane and i was sent spinning across two lanes into the concrete wall on the SB turnpike. I do not have money to throw away and need transportation for my college and my youngest son to get to school. I paid for the extra warranty for this reason in case there was found to be something wrong with the vehicle once I had it checked out. But nobody stands behind it and I was left with a ton of metal sitting in my driveway that was inoperable.

It is very disheartening that people will treat and decieve another person in this manner and it had to come to me stopping payments and dropping the vehicle at their front door step. STAY AWAY. No DEAL is worth the amount of stress you will get from this SCAM Used Cars dealer.
