In March of 06 Paul came out and gave us an estimate of $400- $600.00 to do our hillside to eliminate any mowing-- to spread chips (which were free to him) & to frame it with boards. He stated he would spray to kill weeds first (which he did)then put chips down...When asked about the weeds coming back --Paul said no problem he would come back and spray and after a few times the grass would not come back About a week before Paul was to do the job I called and also ordered 2 trees a Cleveland Flowering Pear & Red Crapemyrtle (I knew they would cost us more, both for the trees & the planting)
Well, the day came the job was started. My husband pointed out that we didn't want limbs on the hill that it was suppose to be chips only Paul got rude with my husband letting him know that we were not paying for the chips just the labor. I came home from work to a Bradford Pear tree in the front yard instead of the Cleveland Flowering Pear I had ordered,a truck with wood chips and Paul using a bobcat to haul them to the back. I went to the back of the house, instead of the wood frame , Paul decided to use a shovel to do the job (wasn't even).
This is when I asked about the tree in the front yard. Paul got very angry and started raising his voice but not just with me & my husband but was yelling(on his cell in the front yard) at the lady at the nursery blameing her for the mistake(he didn't know but I had already called the nursery he got the tree he had ordered) about 8:00pm he replanted the right tree and threw some grass seed where the yard was torn up from his bobcat. Well, now it is time to pay him $810.00 for tearing up our yard with his bobcat and putting up with his rudness...When I asked why so much he said I was lucky the bobcat was $600.00 a day...I guess he forgot there was never a mention about using a bobcat (we had only talked about where he was going to unload the chips). A week later when the grass was coming up on the hill we called him. He said he would be out and take care of it..I waited another week called again left a message ..he never called back & never showed up..

We came and gave estimate to customer, we did not say or price in the written estimate that we would put wood borad around, the wood chips. We explained that mulch is not the same as wood chips. The customer expected wood chips to be like mulch, we clearly explained to her that they are different. Since we gave our chips away she wanted to do the job the cheapest way possible, so instead of paying to have mulch put in she wanted free wood chips. We did order the trees she asked for later in the job, adn the company we got them from gave us one tree that was not correct, We called in to the supplier and the gentleman that the supply company said the boys that load up their trees much have given us the wrong one. Yes we did fix the yard and seed the area our bobcat had made tracks through, for no cost to the customer, We used the bobcat because you could not get a truck beside the customers house to get to the backyard. We stated in teh estimate that we would use the bocat. We did answer her call came back and sprayed two times. THe customer wanted to do the job the cheapest way possible she didn't want to pay for mulch, so we trucked in with a mack chipper truck 40 loads of chips, Some customers is doesn't matter how much of a quality job we do they are just not happy. We are a company that strives for excellent work, and happy customers, We have been in business now for 5 yearsa and this customer is the only one that has complained.
