Few years back, I lost my beloved dog of 11 years to cancer. I started searching for a puppy with my family’s encouragement. I found Ashland Labrador on the internet. http://www.ashlandlabradors.net  From what I read on the website, all of the testimonies, and a very strict screening, I thought that they would be the kennel for my next family companion.

 

I filled out a 7-page application and sent her $100 deposit via PayPal after Teresa Gordy (Ashland Labrador owner) accepted my application. I was placed on the waiting list for one of her fox red or dark yellow female puppies. The terms of her contract specified that refund of the deposit will be given only if Ashland is unable to furnish a puppy of my selection within 1 year from the receipt of my deposit. On 12/28/05, I received an e-mail from Teresa Gordy regarding availability of a light yellow puppy. I informed her that I would wait for a dark yellow female puppy. She e-mailed me back that she would let me know when a puppy that meets my selection becomes available.

 

Over a year later since I put down the deposit, Teresa Gordy not only did not provide me a puppy of my choice, she has started a so called “Kennel Reduction”. She would not do any more breeding until the winter of 2006. Not knowing if I would be getting a dog that I was looking for, I decided to request a refund of my deposit. After several e-mails and phone calls to Teresa Gordy, I did not get any replies or phone calls returned from Teresa Gordy. On one phone call, she answered the phone and told me that she was on the other line and she would return my call in 15 minutes. She did not call me back. A few days later, I called again. She was not home, but her daughter answered the call and assured me that refund of the deposit is a simple task and she would tell her mother to return my call. Again, Teresa Gordy did not return my phone call.

 

Neither PayPal nor my credit card company can do anything for me because the transaction has taken place over a year ago. I filed complaints with BBB, AKC and a couple of kennel clubs that she claimed that she belonged to on her Application Form. Later I discovered from these clubs that she had not been a member of these clubs for years. AKC doe not deal with monetary complaints. Small Claims Court is not my consideration right now due to cross-state issue. I am waiting for BBB’s complaint process to take its course.

David Gleaves did confirm that Ms. Gordy did not resubmit her membership for the last couple of years with our club. She may be a member of Nashville Kennel Club but you will have to check with someone about that. David suggested you pursue this with AKC or with a legal person.  I do not know what to suggest.
 
I personally do not know Ms Gordy but I have heard of her.  I may have spoken with her on the phone.  The only email I have for her is (((Redacted))).
 
There is another Lab breeder that I personally know.  She is xxx at xxxxxxxxx.  She may know Ms. Gordy.  xxx may also have pups or know someone that has puppies. I am copying her this email so you may reply if need be.

Incident = On September 5, 2005, I submitted an application and made a deposit of $100.00 to purchase a dark yellow female Labrador Retriever puppy from Ashland Labradors located at 190 Sutton Lane, Ashland City, TN 37015.  In the enclosed Reservation Form from Ashland Labradors, the term specified that my deposit if refundable in the event that Ashland (Teresa Gordy) is unable to furnish me a puppy of my selection.  After one year, Ashland was unable to furnish me the puppy, and I made the first request of refund of my deposit on September 13, 2006. After several phone calls and e-mails, I am not getting any responses from Teresa Gordy of Ashland Labradors from September 13, 2006 through October 8, 2006. No refund has been issued to me to date. I would like my deposit refunded by the same method the deposit was made and warn other potential buyers about the issue that I have experienced with Ashland Labradors.

Damage Resulting = $100.00 deposit not refunded.

Ms. Gordy,

This is not a false report by a scammer. If you actually kept records, please look at the e-mail I sent on 9/25/2006 requesting a refund. I have all of the records. As I stated in my first rebuttal, to protect my privacy on the internet. I will not use my real name, but my beloved dog's name. If you would like a refresher of your memory. Here is an e-mail sent to you on 10/6/2006.

This is my 4th e-mail to you since September 13, 2006

regarding the refund of our deposit. According to the

term of your Sales Contract, in the event that Ashland

(Teresa Gordy) is unable to furnish me with a puppy of

my selection as noted in the application within 1 year

from the receipt of my deposit, my deposit is

refundable. It has been more than one year since my

deposit was made to Teresa Gordy and she has not been

able to provide a puppy that I made a reservation for.

I have made several phone calls and e-mails to Teresa

Gordy over 3 weeks of time and she has not either

return my phone calls, replied to my e-mails, or issue

the refund.

Here is a summary of events/communication with Teresa

Gordy/Ashland Labradors:

1. A deposit of $100.00 was sent to you via PayPal on

September 5, 2005.

2. On September 7, 2005, I received an e-mail from

Teresa confirming the receipt of application and being

placed on the waiting list for a dark yellow female

puppy.

3. On December 28, 2005, I received an e-mail from

Teresa Gordy regarding availability of light yellow

puppies. I informed her that we would like to wait for

a dark yellow female puppy.

4. On September 13, 2006, I e-mailed Teresa regarding

the deposit refund.

5. On September 22, 2006 I left message and e-mail

Teresa regarding refund.

6. On September 25, 2006, another e-mail was sent to

Teresa regarding refund.

7. On or about September 26, 2006, I called and spoke

to Teresa Gordy on the phone. She stated that she was

on the line and will return my call in 15 minutes. She

did not return my call.

8. On September 29, 2006, I called Teresa Gordy and

spoke to her daughter, Katie regarding refund. Katie

would ask Teresa to call me on October 2nd when Teresa

returned from the Dog Show.

9. On October 6, 2006, I left a message on Teresa

Gordy's answering machine (((Redacted))) regarding

refund. I did not receive any e-mail or phone call

from her.

10. On October 8, 2006, I left a message on Teresa

Gordy's answering machine (((Redacted))) regarding

refund and hoping that there has been some sort of

misunderstanding or some reasons that Teresa Gordy can

not respond to my phone calls or e-mails. I also

informed her that I will file complaints with

AKC,Tri-Star Kennel Club Williamson County, Tennessee,

and Greater Atlanta Labrador Retriever Club if I do

not receive a response and refund by October 10, 2006.

I did not use my real name, but used my dog's name in her honor. I also did not want to have my real name on internet for privacy reason. If Teresa Gordy really wants to make this right and care about her reputation. Please reply and I will contact you directly to give you my information for you to refund my money with an apology.

The above report is a scam!!  It was falsely made by a someone going by the name of Brooke Hoffmanko of repairgoogle.com/  who is scamming people and holding their reputation hostage for payment of their services promising to get this report removed from this page. The name "Molly Wage" listed as the person that made this report is neither a person Ashland Labradors has done business with nor has ever heard of. We suspect it is a bogus name used by this Brooke Hoffmanko and her scamming internet company.

After doing research, we have found that there are several other online reports from Brooke Hoffmanko on this website, also scamming other small businesses with false rip off reports AND have also found the name Brooke Hoffmanko of repairgoogle.com on several other Internet Complaint sites for "again" scamming businesses with false reports at the same time trying to get these same companies to pay her to remove these reports.

Brooke Hoffmanko falsly filed this report under an alis name on 07/30/14.    On 07/31/14  She sends me the following email:
