Ashley Furniture Horrendous Customer Service, Wk's for Furniture to be Shipped, Different Answers to Shipping every time called, wrong product delivered! Salt Lake City Utah
I wish I had read your and numberous other reports about Ashley Furniture Stores HORRIBLE customer service. While I was visiting California, I visited a furniture store that carried Ashley products, but they don't deliver. When I returned, I went to the closest Ashley to my house - their SLC store on 1/7/09. They do not carry ANY inventory. All items are shipped from Wisconson first, then to their California wharehouse, then to the store, THEN they only deliver to Utah County, once a week.
When I called the store and asked how long it takes for delivery, I was told by salesman Mike Feather's ONE WEEK from purchase (complete LIE). I called on the phone before making the trek to SLC. Terri L my saleslady also said one week, but then after my purchase of approx $1,500 for 2 items, I was told 3 weeks since I'm in Orem.
Today my furniture was to arrive. (1) nightstand and (1) 6 drawer (tall) chest. What came on the truck was my nightstand, but a DRESSER w/mirror (I guess in their terminology dressers are the long ones and chests are the tall ones). I talked to Terri my saleslady today, and she said how sorry she was for the mistake and my "Chest" that I ordered 1/7 would be at my house by the 1/27. She said she'd have the mgr of the store:a Mr. Maher Ramaleih, would call after they replaced the order.
I had to call back after no word for 3 hours, & he had not placed the order untill we spoke! He said that they could get it to me by the 1/30. I asked for their customer service #. I spoke with one of their agents, and she said the earliest they could get it to my home (according to her computer) was 2/7! And she didn't know what the store was getting their information from. She also reported to me that none of my they telephone conversations I had with Mike, Terri, or the 2 to their Gen.Mgr. Maher Ramaleih had been entered into my account, per store policy. I'm sure, no report = no trouble with corporate!
DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY STORES DIRECTLY! Their products are wonderful, but their stores are TERRIBLE. Find a furniture store that carries Ashley products IN STOCK.
I am still waiting to hear when the "chest" I ordered (they found one, in Reno, will arrive) and when my refund of the difference in price's that is over $200 will be refunded!
