ATT Desceptive Advertising Texas
I recently thought I had an issue with my personal computer. I had never tried the support program through ATT called connectech. So I pulled up the chat option of this program and was told they thought they could help. My basic problem was that my wireless mouse quit working.
To make a long story short, I chose the option for a tech to take over my pc. I was told in order to do this it would cost me a minimum of 15 dollars plus tax. I proceeded to have that amount charged to my credit card. After spending well over an hour having the tech mess with my pc, she said it was all fixed.
After she turned control back to me, I found she had really messed things up and had deleted some good paid for programs I had installed to take care of pc problems.
The original tech I chatted with mentioned this connectech would fix any and all problems, which was a total lie. My best advise is to avoid getting involved with connectech. Incidently, I discovered my mouse had just died and I went to walmart and got a new one. New mouse, problem solved.
