Austin Tipton contacted our company to perform construction services at a shopping center in the St. Charles, MO area. Mr. Tipton refused to sign any documents or send paperwork to our company before the job occurred. Upon completion of the job our company was issued a manual check on the site (over $5,000.00 dollars) and the work was considered completed. One week later our bank returned the check to our company and said that there were insufficient funds in the account and we were charged service fees.
Our company contacted Mr. Tipton's bank in Columbia, MO that was listed on the check and the bank representative told our President that the funds in the account were not sufficient before the check was even written. Multiple phone calls were made to Austin Tipton to resolve the bad check and a certified letter was issued which stated the intentions for our company to recover funds and file lien on the shopping plaza property owners. To the date of this posting, Mr. Tipton has not made a payment to our company and we are seeking criminal and legal action against him.
