On Monday, September 24, 2018. my husband and I visited Auto Class Direct, 825 K Ave., Plano, TX 75074 to view a 2006 Lexus GX470.  When we arrived, the salesman, Trinidad, was very nice and helpful and did not seem anxious at all to make a sale.  We test drove the vehicle, making all the necessary moves one does when checking out a used car.

The vehicle rode and sounded very nicely. There was nothing amiss about it.  This was the car we wanted.  We agreed to make the purchase.  Brian, the finance manager, seemed nice and eager to get us the best deal.  The first warning sign, which should have deterred the purchase.  He made an erroneous claim that the vehicle could only be financed with a high interest, because of the high mileage.  As information, the Credit Report lists the score above 600 and close to 700.

The deal was finalized that evening around 6pm.  The second warning sign; the large SUV had no gas.  I informed the salesman I have never purchase a vehicle, which could not make it to the gas station.  As we drove home, we noticed the vehicle had a little more bounce than when it was test drove. Nevertheless, we proceeded; Auto Class Direct closes at 7:00 pm.

The next day, I left the vehicle in the care of my husband, because insurance was not on the vehicle.  Regrettably, he discovered a loud noise upon starting the vehicle.  All the excitement of the new vehicle was deflated.  I rushed home only to confirm, the loud vacum-like noise.  Eager to know how much the repairs would be, I Googled the symptoms. Yes, it was the air pump suspension.  I attempted to reached any one of the three people who so nicely sold us the defective vehicle.

I could not reach anyone.  As information, Preston, a salesman had spoken with my husband earlier regarding insurance for the vehicle.  However, he was no where to be found when a voicemail was placed noting the issue.  The salesman, Trinidad and Brian, the finance manager disappeared as well.  I finally reached Tracy, a finance manager, who disconnected me several times and did not once reconnect with me.  Exhausted, I finally reached Brian, who claimed the issue is being addressed.

In the meantime, I contacted a Wells Fargo representative, who listened carefully to my complaint.  The Wells Fargo representative agreed this was an issue worthy of voiding the contract and saw no problem in doing so.  She informed me the finance manager, Brian, should send the voided sales contract to undue the situation.  Here we are today... Brian claims the owner, keep in mind, who has been in business for over forty years is visiting the issue and will make a decision.

For the record, Auto Class Direct confirms the noise and is aware of the expense and Auto Class Direc cannot afford to make the repairs.  Brian, the finance manager, claims the vehicle is old and the noise is expected.  What? I am not a fool; the air pump suspension is in need of repair and was when Auto Class Direct sold us the vehicle.  The devil was on their side and prevented us from hearing the noise when we test drove the vehicle.  I have not heard from Brian, the finance manager, who promises to resolve the issue.

As information, if thirty days would have passed, I would not have been writing this complaint.  The vehicle is sold as is, but this vehicle was sold with a known issue.  I stand by my allegations.  Please consumers determine if you want to patronize a business, such as Auto Class Direct, who cannot afford to make repairs to vehicles before selling them.  Our time and money is too valuable to be misled in this manner!!!  I will keep you posted on the outcome.

In the meantime... Auto Class Direct is true to form; vehicles are sold out of a house and Auto Class Direct cannot not afford to sale vehicles, which would last longer than thirty days without needing repairs.  Do Not Purchase a Vehicle from Auto Class Direct!!!  These are very bad people!!!

First, learn the difference between "sale" and "sell". It's quite obvious. You stated there was at least one red flag. Who made the decision to stay there instead of walking out? This red flag was significant, otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it here. You stated this was an "AS IS" purchase and in the next few words you say they knew about an alleged pre-existing problem. What exactly do you think "AS IS" means? Did you even bother to READ the disclosure sheet you had to sign indicating you knew it was an "AS IS" purchase? Bottom line to all this is unless they agree to unwind the deal, you are out of luck. "AS IS" means "AS IS". YOU could have avoided all this by walking out at the FIRST sign of a red flag.
