Nancy, If your current address was on your credit report, AVCO could have properly served you. If you get copies of your credit report that have your current address, you can prove bad service, and get the judgement vacated. I think you should get a lawyer to do this for you, as it can be tricky. Not only that, but you can file a bar association complaint on the lawyer who performed the bad service as an ethics violation. Due diligence in filing lawsuits is mandatory as far as the bar association is concerned. Good luck!
