I filled out one of those cheesy boxes last year to learn about UOP online. Was contacted by Mr. Ryan Cunningham and filled full of bull. Was told I was going to basically be treated like a one on one student, I was going to be walked through the classes and any help I needed I was going to recieve. He did slip last year and basically say that the exams are open book. Don't have a lot of pressure on writing too much.

Kept notes on this because I wanted to talk it over with my husband was told that the FAFSA rating I had would cover everything (under 500 rating) at the time I had no costs out of pocket. Had to slow down and think about it because of home issues, was made to feel like I was 12 by this person because I was not getting all the information and wanted to think about it. ...

So this year filled out the more information and within 10 seconds of me clicking yes the d**n phone rang and it was Mr. Ryan Cunningham again to tell me all about Axia online UOP program. Now a 20 month Assoc. in Accounting program was going to cost me with online books $18,000.00. My GRANTS were again going to cover all but a few hundred dollars of this money he was pretty sure , he just couldn't find his cheat sheet on it. So he couldn't give me an accurate amount. He kept pressuring me to get signed up for class sent me the e-mail to fill out the application and gave me the code for my FASFA for them to look at it and that was it. (NOT MY CODE THERE CODE)Said he was going to hold an imaginary seat for me in a class. I said ok.

After looking things over again and seeing the light the comm. college here offers classes by the hour not the block and I could almost have a bachelor's for what they want for an assoc. ( I am getting 13 credit hours for $1,444.95) I decided not to bother with axia or apollo or UOP and got enrolled in school and filled out all my stuff for community college online locally.

Well 7/23/07 he calls and gets snarky with me because I didn't return his calls that he was calling 2x a day for two weeks and not leaving a message. I politely said I was enrolled in school and was busy doing all the paperwork for that and did not have time.( I have two kids and a husband as well.) He continued to get more angry with me and so I hung up.

Last year I was a bad person because I had family issues to prevent me and this year I found a cheaper way to go. Now I know with my grants it would have only knocked off this year with a higher fafsa rating about $1100.00, so 16,900 would be in student loans.

So this punk has lied to me from the get go about everything. And I hope he lost his bonus or whatever he missed out on because I was not sucked in by his lies. If I get another phone call from him or that group of idiots it had better be only to apologize to me for treating me like I was an uneducated moron and for being rude, pushy and uncaring. Yes he even tried to relate to me about a family crisis I had. HOW CAN YOU GO TO WORK KNOWING WHAT YOU DO ??

That is for DeVry! Not UOP. She is talking about University of Phoenix. They are NOT the same-so let's not step there. We have a campus in Charlotte, NC. UOP is legit. Good grief....
