Refund was processed electronially and money returned to consumers bank. Date of transaction was as listed above. (May take up to 5 business days to be returned to account. Usually is next day though. The banks control this.) It is possible that our notes have conversations with mother and we did not realize we were not speaking directly with our customer. I am sorry you felt you were treated rudely by our reps and I will speak to them. (This is not a normal complaint.) Please check your bank for the funds. If you do not find them there please call me directly and I will research. We back our product and refund anyone who does not feel they get enough value for the cost. Again, I am sorry this product did not give you the value you expected. I have family and friends serving also and I wish you the best. Be safe.

I never implied nor gave any indication that I THOUGHT my mother had cancel out my account. I know my mother had contact BAS because I contact them the exact same day to see if their would be a different response. Also, the lady that I was on the phone with never stated that a refund would be issued to me and as of today's date 17 Nov 04, I still haven't recieved a refund from this rip-off company. I have a phone record of each time I placed a call to BAS and a recording of me leaving them a voice message. The first customer rep. I spoke with on the phone that rudly hung on me, stated that she was not the only person to check the voice-mail and receive the messages. She stated that anyone who had access to the voice-mail could have check the message and not relate them to the other representives. I then spoke with Mrs. Ingram and she stated that she was the one to recieve my messages. I also informed her that I had records in my vehicle which is in the state of Washington because I am currently out to sea, regarding the numerous attempts I made to cancel out the membership (to include, dates, times, and customer service reps. I spoke with)! I can't get to them right now to prove it but I will once I return to Washington. I am in the military and currently deployed serving my country.

We recieved a call from consumer on Nov 2. There is no record of earlier call in October as stated by consumer. Consumer left message on our voice mail. We were able contact consumer on November 8th and 10th. We cancelled consumers account and issued a refund which was processed on Nov 12th. Consumer stated to us that she thought her mother had previously cancelled her membership for her and her mother had forgotten. Our discount card does work in Wal-Mart's (PHARMACY dept only) as well as thousands of stores and restaurants across the country. We are sorry that this consumer did not find our card to thier satisfaction.

I really don't have any advice to help others out for furture reference. All I can say is if it seems fishy or like their is a catch to it throw it away and don't entertain it. Keep account for everything you do and what you sign and just be extremely carful and cautious about what you sign your name too!

I contact BAS 28 Oct 04, received no answer but left a message for them to contact me, I contact them again 3 and 4 Novement 2004 and again I left several messages that day and an e-mail address that they could contact me at in order to find some resolution as to why they never cancel my account. I never recieved a response from the company and so I decided to contact them again today 8 Nov 04, and the 1st young lady that I spoke with took down my my complaint and she because rude and was upset because I was contacting them via the government phone which has a voice delay in it. I also let her know that the conversation was being recorded because of the fact that I was on a government phone and I was upset with the fact that they had taken $109.00 out of my account last month when I had contact them in Dec 03 canceling with BAS because of the false advertisement and the fact that the card did not work on the interent. She told me that she could pull my ticket and have it reviewed but she couldn't promise me that I would recieve a refund of all of my money because they can only refund up to 30 days. I told her that I have it recorded as to how many attempts, and specified the days that I had made contact and left a voice mail message and she stated that she has no recollection of this and I told her I am sure that someone in her office recieved my messages but never attempt to contact me back. I told her that I never recieved the catalog, credit card nor the free computer with the purchase of their internet service. She told me that I was being rude to her by cutting her off and if I did it again that she will hang up in my face. I told her that the phone has a voice delay and she hung up in my face. I called back and a male answered the phone and placed me on hold. The male did not give his name and then a female came to the phone. She did not give her name but I recongized her voice from the voice mail Teressa Ingram. She stated that she was the one that recieved my messages and she couldn't make out what they were and she stated that she received only one message on 2 Nov 04. She wrote my complaints in order of the month, date and year and informed me that she will pull my ticket and have it recieved and they could only refund me up to 30 days. I told her that wasn't good enough and that I had cancel with them every since Dec 03 but they continued to take money from my account. She told me that it is up to the consumer to report a change of address with them by contacting them so that they wouldn't send anything to that address. I inform her that I did a change of address each time I moved. I also informed her as to when I applied for the BAS program and how many times my ship has been out to sea for a deployment and how many attempts that I had made. I told her is shouldn't be the consumers fault if they aren't contacted by the company of which they had ordered service if they had made numerous attempts and no calls were returned. She stated that BAS is with the Better Business Bureau and I told her that I will be taking them to court for false advertisement and theft of funds transactions from my account. She said okay and hung up. But she wrote down all the information. I never renewed services with BAS but yet they took it upon themselves to renew me!
