Thank you for your suggestion! The issue I have is not with the quality of the watch but the poor quality of the repair of my current watch. Skagen is a fairly priced watch running about 100-180 pending the style but has a lifetime warranty on the watch and parts. Skagen as a company has repaired my past watches free of charge. I have sent the watch in question to Skagen about 2 weeks ago and again there was no charge even though the other company took my money for such a poor job. Thanks

I've been wearing Timex for over 40 years and never had a water problem. If the battery can't be replaced, I just buy a new watch. For 30 to 40 dollars you can get a good watch that lasts about six to eight years. Lately I've been buying the Expedition and have had to replace the battery only once in about eight years. Sure like my watch, shower with it, go diving with it, hike in the forest/desert with it, and generally bang it around. Does it look like a rolex? Duh - not hardly, but then again, it looks fine and I wear it with my suits at work and at functions. I was told once that wearing a watch with a black band (mine is cloth and velcro) was tacky. My reply was that I wear what I want and not what fashion would have me wear - within reason of course. I'll live with my $40 watch which turns out to cost me about $4 a year to keep.
