I am increasingly convinced that Beachbody is a cleverly disguised pyramid scheme. They have bad business practices and horrible customer relations.

As a former coach I found that the companies main focus is to recruit more coaches who will have to go on direct ship for Shakeology in order to remain active (make money). I also found that the majority of coaches spen far more than they make on supplements, programs, membership fees, monthly business fees, etc.  In the short 3 months that I was a coach I spent $400 dollars and made $14! Yes, that's right, a net loss of $286! in 3 months!

During that time, I changed the flavor of my shakeology HD order and all hell broke loose.  My status went to inactive because the shipment date they require you to put in at the change of flavor was off by 1 day.  I went by the date I was charged on my bank statement because that's the only thing I had to go off of.  I called to inquire about how to make sure my status was made active and to make sure that my shakeology was on it's way. Two weeks later I noticed that I had been double charged for it but I still didn't have the bag in my possession so I called again.  At this point, I was told that my card had been used by someone else who called in and told them that they had my permission to do so?! WHAT!!! I asked to speak to a supervisor.

The supervisor took the first 6 digits of my cc and the last 4 digits and was able to find the double charge immediately.  It wasn't an order from someone else. It was their mistake! Ugh! My heart was pounding as I thought about the person using my card and it wasn't even true! I asked him about my bag of shakeo for the month of April and he said that it hadn't shippped.  He asked me to repeat my address to make sure there wasn't an issue there.  Of course there wasn't but whatever.

Three weeks passed and I noticed that one of the charges was still on my card and still NO BAG OF SHAKEO! So, I called again.  I was told by the man in customer relations this time that I was never double charged and that they already refunded me for the bag that didn't ship. I informed him that I was looking at my bank statement with the two charges as we spoke and he then told me I would have to send them a copy of that statement.  Blood boiling at this point, I told him I didn't have to do any such thing and that he had better get a supervisor immediately. The supervisor took the first 6 digits and last 4 digits of my card and immediately saw the double charge and the one refund.  Imagine that.

I informed him that at this point I was absolutely done with beachbody and was going to send in my coach cancellation form as soon as I got off the phone. I asked him to refund the other charge and told him I didn't even want the shakeo. He said he would refund me and then gave me some story about how they didn't want ot lose me as a coach (I bet you don't, you're earning your salary from people like me). I told him there was nothing they could do to appease me and I just wanted to be done with them.

I got a call back to ask me the same types of questions about what they could do differently to keep me and was told that I still had 72 hours to cancel my coach cancellation blah, blah, blah.  After telling them once again that I no longer viewed beachbody as a legit company with ethical practices they offered to send me a free bag of shakeo for my troubles. It finally came 2.5 weeks later. 

This company is completely unethical.  They overcharge you for workouts that you could design yourself from challenges online and supplements that you can find much cheaper on any health food shelf. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM BEACHBODY!
