Hello, i own a honda ct-70 that i bought to restore, so i go online and find beatrice cycle, known as dratv, i purchased parts on line on a saturday night,gave them my credit card number, and the order was approved, they send me a order number and everything and thank me for my business, monday i go on line to check the status, and they tell me my order has been cancelled! i write them a email, you cant call them, they do have a number listed on the website, but they wont answer it, they write back and tell me my credit card is not active! well what the hell, it is a new card that i have used and no one else has had a problem with it! the card seemed to work fine saturday night when they ran it through, if there was a problem why was it not addressed at the time? so i called the card company and they assured me my card was good and there is no problem with there end, in fact it shows on my card that dratv has a hold on the funds! i ask them if dratv cancelled the order and they said no, they have not, my card company even give me a approvel code! so i start writing dratv back, sent several emails that they will not respond to, and several calls they wont answer, now eventually if dr doom or dratv doesnt actually take the money, make a sale, the hold on the funds will fall off and credit back to my account, however, the whole thing is aggravating, and there tying up my money in the mean time, so if you are looking for cycle parts, or anything else online, buy from a company that will actually answer the phone if you call, best to talk to a live person to resolve problems if they arise....

I have to agree with some of the things the original complainer said.  They are really too busy, they claim, to answer email either in a timely manner, or at all in a lot of cases, and of course they won't answer the phone at all (what dependable business won't answer the phone?).  They may be a major source of honda parts and be a well-liked company by many people that knew what they wanted and placed an order and got it.  But god help you if you have a question or a problem with an order. 

It will take an act of congress to get any response from them, and when you do, it never totally addresses the problem, so you keep sending email after email only to be ignored.  The best way to run a shady business is by email only because it's too easy to ignore people.  They have a lot to learn (and never will) about good customer relations.  One dissatisifed customer will undue all the good will of a hundred satisfied customers (Business 101).  They certainly didn't address the complaints of this complaining customer properly and they did cheat him out of money, even if the exchange rate varied that much (which I'm sure it didn't).

 Dr.ATV refunded my money yesterday. They charged me 936.66$cdn. The refund they gave me was 913.43$cdn refund. I think the difference was because of exchange rate from canada to u.s. and back. Or they're ripping me off and they know it's not worth the hassle to try and chase them for it. So what my dr.atv experience has boiled down to - I put in an order. They took my money. Then they took 22 days of screwing around with my money for nothing. Didn't fill my order. Sent me a refund but because the exchange rate changed I got burned for $23.23cdn. If you are a U.S. citizen living inside the U.S. you can try this buisness. But as an international customer I would steer clear. They were rude, short-tempered, and not very helpful on top of all of this. I would not bother with this company and find anybody else even with somebody like eBay you're probably better off because the amounts will be smaller and the shipping costs will be exactly the same. Dr. ATV is just a dropshipper they don't actually have any inventory.

 Like scary identical. It's like they're letting a grouchy sixty-year-old illiterate run their email box. They've held my money for 22 days now waiting for a return. I'll come back to this site and update when I get my money back. ($936.66cdn)

who works saturday night // monday morning notifacation emailed regarding payment // credit card problem // was your payment processed ?? did you receive the correct parts // i cant believe you filed a report because your phone call was not answered // verbal orders can be misunderstood // online orders keep both sides happy // the website states no phone orders // i think this report should be removed by the author // have a better expierance next time // give them the chance to get the correct parts shipped to you //   you did not purchase parts sat night // you ordered them // automated system respnse notified you order received // if your card was actually good // active // order would be processed & shipped.

First off // this appears to be a problem with a preloade credit card company // not DrATV // Anyone who is worried about their money being tied up.......//spelling is THEIR // not there // no follow up // was order cancelled ??   

I have been a customer of Dr ATV  for many years // they provide valuable tech info // huge factory HONDA parts inventory // I also think Rip Off Report should screen content better // you should not see a uneducated person's complaint pop up with search results // The confirmation Email had phrase // Orders cant be cancelled //

Have no doubt the writer of the complaint had a bad experience but I have used Beatrice repeatedly as do most of the Honda ct owners I know and the company has always been reliable and communicative.  They remain my first resort on ct parts for rebuild and restoration.
